Police team constituted to probe loot with riots victims

A police team has been constituted to investigate the alleged loot of cash and jewellery from the houses of rehabilitated Muzaffarnagar riots victims at Hamza colony in Kandhla town of Shamli district.
Circle Officer Nishank Sharma said the Superintendent of Police Shamli has formed a team led by Additional SP V K Jha to investigate the incident and nab the culprits.
Fifteen armed persons on Sunday night looted cash and ornaments from seven families displaced from Bahawdi, Lank and Lisarh during the Muzaffarnagar riots in 2013 and were rehabilitated in Kandhla town.
