Policeman attacked by building watchman

A sub-inspector was injured after being attacked by the watchman of an under-construction building at Ghantaghar crossing here when he tried to remove the building material to decongest a nearby road.
The incident took place yesterday when Sub-Inspector Pradeep Kumar, who had gone to clear the traffic congestion in Kosi town, found the construction material lying on road, police said.
"Following a heated argument between the two, Rahis, the watchman of the building hit Pradeep on his nose with a brick resulting in the policeman suffering heavy bleeding," said SSP Babloo Kumar.
"Rahis has been arrested and booked under sections 307, 332, 353 and 186 of the IPC," he added.

The building material has been removed from the road, police said.
