Policeman electrocuted in Samba

A Jammu and Kashmir police personnel was electrocuted today when he was trying to fix electric wires at his home in Samba district here.
Constable Sarain Singh, posted as driver of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, died of electric shock at his residence in Chak Sataka in Ramgarh area of the district, a police officer said.
A case has been registered in this regard and body of the deceased has been sent for postmortem, he said, adding it will be handed over to his family after legal and medical formalities are conducted.
