The incident occurred at J-4 Sector of Jalozai camp, hosting those affected by the military operations in Nowshera district, some 25 kms from here.
Eyewitnesses said the polio team was on duty in the camp when a teenager entered the centre and asked about the venue where oral polio drops were being administered to children.
On being told it was taking place at the centre, the boy quickly moved out and hurled a grenade which exploded inside the centre, they said.
No one was injured in the blast, however, the inoculation of polio drops was immediately shut down after the blast and the team was shifted to another place, police said.
