He said that already the government had announced on December 21 last year that the gift pack would have one kilo each of rice and sugar and half a kilo each of jaggery and toor dhal among other essential commoditiesfor the harvest festival of Pongal to be celebrated later this month.
Now the pack would have three more products and the total worth of each pack would be around Rs 309.
