"Mukherjee will arrive here tomorrow," a state Congress spokesperson said without divulging if his itinerary includes a meeting with Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray.
Thackeray has declared his party's support to Mukherjee after breaking ranks with BJP which is backing Opposition's candidate P A Sangma.
Sangma, on a campaign tour here three days ago, had launched a scathing attack on Mukherjee, saying Rashtrapati Bhavan was being used as a "dumping ground" for the "failed" former finance minister.
