The president is scheduled to attend the 45th convocation of the 70-year-old Utkal University and visit Lord Jagannath temple in Puri, the sources said.
Mukherjee is likely to spend about one hour at the Raj Bhavan at Puri after the darshan at the 12th century shrine, Director General of Police Prakash Mishra said.
Utkal University will confer honorary doctorate to spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, neurosurgeon Sanatan Rath and former Orissa High Court judge Justice R K Patra.
