Pranab wishes speedy recovery to Venezuelan President

Chavez is recuperating at a hospital after undergoing a cancer surgery.

Presidnet Mukherjee has extended his best wishes for the speedy and complete recovery of the President of Venezuela, a Rashtrapati Bhavan press release quoted the President as saying.

Mukherjee was confident that the President of Venezuela would have the strength and courage to overcome his present difficulties with his health, it said.

The President said that the earlier health reports of a stabilisation had been a welcome development.

At this moment of trial for the friendly people of Venezuela, the people of India send their good wishes, the President said.
