Prarthana and Harriet overcame a stiff challenge from the Thai pair of Nicha Lertpitaksinchai and Nudnida Luangnam 6-4 4-6 18-16 in the final.
Prarthana, who now trains at Sania Mirza Tennis Academy in Hyderabad, had ended runner-up in Ahmedabad USD 25,000 doubles event early in the season.
She won two USD 10,000 level doubles titles this season -- at Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt in March and at Dehradun in April.
"I was in Hyderabad, training at SMTA for about a month and all the hard work really paid off today. It's very special. It was such a close match. I am glad we could pull it off. It will make a huge difference to my world ranking," Prarthana said.
In singles, making the quarterfinals at Ahmedabad and Dehradun are her best results.
Asked if she was happy with her singles game, 20-year-old Prarthana said, "This was my first tournament after shifting to SMTA and after making those changes, I feel I am on the right track. I feel stronger on court.
