"I have asked my officers to work out a plan under our Digital Literacy programme in which by way of increasing digital literacy in Dalit village we should be able to get common service centres operated by Dalit women. This is my one objective. I have directed officer to make it a success," Prasad said.
He was speaking after releasing a commemorative stamp to mark 50 years of India's first mutual fund company Unit Trust of India.
The Minister said that India is undergoing a change with digital revolution.
Prasad lauded the partnership between UTI and Department of Posts and said "release of commemorative stamp is a recognition of outstanding effort of individuals and Organisation. The country is recognising you."
UTI AMC managing Director Leo Puri said that UTI has been playing a pivotal role in the Indian financial market since 1964.
"We are honoured that a postal stamp commemorating 50 years of UTI has been released today," Puri added.
