The Summit will start on October 15 in the costal state.
"All the preparations are completed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be arriving in the state tomorrow," Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar told reporters today before reviewing the arrangement for the summit.
Parsekar today gave up his official car and security and travelled by bus along with media persons to the venue where BRICS summit is scheduled in south Goa.
During the one-and-a-half-day, total 11 heads of the countries will arrive in Goa beginning tomorrow mid night to October 15 late night.
The airport sources said flights of the heads of the state would be landing at INS Hansa, a naval base near Dabolim airport, due to which there is no rescheduling of the daily flights.
The heads of the state will move out from INS Hansa base without using the Dabolim airport, they added.
Parsekar said the roads which are leading to the venue and hotels, where the leaders are staying, would be blocked only during the movement of the VVIPs, which will ensure that there is no inconvenience to the locals.
"Goa took up a challenge to create infrastructure required for such an event. Despite torrential rains which exceeded its regular schedule, all the works are completed on time," the Chief Minister claimed.
Parsekar said the summit is important for branding of Goa worldwide as the declaration that would be adopted during the event would be termed as "Goa Declaration".
"The state will get more attention across globe which will result in the increase of footfalls," Parsekar added.
