Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao Tuesday asked officials to prepare an integrated plan of action for completion of the construction and maintenance of barrages and pump houses under the Kaleswaram irrigation project.
Rao, who held a meeting with officials on the progress of construction of the project (on Godavari river), instructed that residential quarters for engineering and other staff be built at the camp sites of the projects, a release from his office said Tuesday night.
He suggested that watch tower, staff residential quarters be constructed at the maximum height to HFL (high flood level) so as to shield them from river flow.
Rao enquired about the progress of construction of canals for filling water in the ponds.
He was told about the plan to install 3,000 conduits for every canal to fill tanks, the release added.
