President congratulates Srikanth for India Open win

President Pranab Mukherjee today congratulated shuttler Kidambi Srikanth for winning the men's singles title at the India Open Super Series here.
The World No 4 Srikanth defeated Viktor Axelsen of Denmark 18-21 21-13 21-12 in 55 minutes to lift the crown at the Siri Fort Sports Complex yesterday.
"Please accept my hearty congratulations and best wishes on your winning the Men's Singles title in the India Open Super Series badminton tournament," the President said in a message.
"Your success is a matter of great joy and pride for all Indians. My best wishes are with you for even greater success in the future.
