Official sources said this would be Mukherjee's first visit to Puducherry after he became the President.
The University, a Central institution, was established under an Act of Parliament in 1985.
The President will hand over the degree certificates and medals to graduates passing out of various disciplines in the University and affiliated colleges, sources said.
