Prestige Estates gains 10% on dividend declaration

Shares of realty firm Prestige Estates Projects today surged over 10 per cent after the company's Board approved payment of interim dividend for the financial year 2015-16.
The stock zoomed 9.90 per cent to settle at Rs 153.20 on BSE. During the day, it soared 11.11 per cent to Rs 154.90.
On NSE, it climbed 10.21 per cent to close at Rs 153.20.
In terms of volumes, 1.28 lakh shares of the company changed hands at BSE and over 15 lakh shares were traded at NSE during the day.
Prestige Estates Projects had on Saturday informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on March 19, 2016, have approved the payment of interim dividend at the rate of 12 per cent i.E (Rs 1.2 per share) for the financial year 2015-16.

The dividend will be paid on or before April 17, 2016, the filing added.
