Prez to launch scheme to develop adopted villages

President Pranab Mukherjee will launch a scheme to develop five villages he has adopted into 'Smart village' on July 2 at a function at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
The scheme will be launched by the President in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Director of Rashtrapati Bhawan Secretariat N K Sudhanshu said.
The five villages to be adopted include Alipur, Daula, Harchandpur, Tajnagar of Gurgaon district and Rozka Meo of Mewat district.
The function will be attended by representatives from Neeti Aayog, Union Ministry for Rural Development, Agriculture and other allied departments.
