Priest held for abducting woman

A priest was arrested and a woman allegedly abducted by him in January was rescued.
Premchand Goswami (27), was arrested yesterday from Barla village under Chapar police station in the district, police said.
According to an FIR lodged by her family members, the 22-year-old woman was abducted by Goswami from near a bus stand in the village on January 9 last.
The woman, who was found pregnant, was sent for medical examination, police said, adding she would be produced in the court for recording her statement regarding the eloping case.
