Primary school teacher held for indecent act with girls

A primary school teacher was arrested for allegedly behaving indecently with three girl students at Dumaria in East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand.
The teacher Shit Kumar Choudhury was arrested yesterday, Officer-in Charge of Dumuria PS Vikrant Kumar said.
His alleged misconduct came to light when one of the girls filed an FIR at the local police station recently, the official said.
On a follow-up inquiry, police further came to know from the gram pradhan that the girls had suddenly started abstaining from classes feeling uncomfortable in the teacher's presence.
In another twist, the teacher shot off a letter to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Snoop T Mathew, accusing ten villagers of assaulting him and demanding Rs 50,000 as extortion recently, Kumar said.

However, his charges were not found true as per investigation so far, he said.
Kumar said the teacher has been forwarded to jail today after a case was registered against him under relevant section of IPC.
