Shailendra Srivastava, 33, was arrested after the parents of some students of the schools complained about the incident to Basic Siksha Adhikari Mukesh Kumar Singh.
The teacher has also been suspended after the complaint against him was prima facie found to be true, Singh said.
An FIR was lodged against the teacher, leading to his arrest.
