The "Let's Go Crazy" icon, 57, was found dead at his Paisley Park home in Minnesota on Thursday.
The "Purple Rain" was at number one, followed by "Little Red Corvette," "When Doves Cry," "Kiss" and "Let's Go Crazy," while a host of his other songs appeared throughout the iTunes US Top 100 songs.
Also his albums took the top three positions on Apple's download chart in the US.
While the cause of Prince's death is still unknown, officials from the Midwest Medical Examiner's office confirmed they have received his body and an autopsy will be performed today.
