Principal arrested for molesting minor student

A 45-year-old school principal was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl student of class two in Gujarat's Navsari district, for not paying her fees of Rs 3,000, officials said.
"Police arrested a school principal identified as Parsottam Nashit (45) for molesting and forcing unnatural sex on a seven-year old girl student of class two in Khund village of Chikhli taluka in Navsari district yesterday for not paying her fees of Rs 3,000," Navsari police inspector D K Patel Navsari said.
The incident allegedly occurred on March 20, after Nashit called the girl to his office and demanded fees from her. Later he sexually assaulted her, Patel said.

The girl told the accused that her parents are daily wagers and hence cannot pay the amount at such short notice, but the accused showed no mercy on her, he said.
However, the girl narrated her woes to her mother who lodged a police complaint, he said.
Nashit has been booked under Section 377 (unnatural sex) of the Indian Penal Code along with other sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, police said.
"A preliminary investigation has revealed that Nashit had also molested the girl when she was a class one student and hence we sought his remand for four days from a Navasari court and it has been granted," Patel added.
