Chairman of the Kalakshetra Foundation, Gopalkrishna Gandhi, said the Union Ministry of Culture had "sent an offer of appointment" for the position of Director to Govind following the recommendations of a Search Committee.
Govind "has conveyed her acceptance of the offer. She is expected to take up her responsibilities shortly," he said in a statement.
