"There was a meeting wherein the bidders sought clarifications on some matters during the discussions," I-League CEO, Sunando Dhar, told PTI.
The AIFF had last month floated a tender notice inviting bids for new clubs to be part of the I-League.
The winning bidders will be granted the right to own and operate a new club which will compete in the league each year from 2013 onwards.
All bidding parties need to fulfil the eligibility criteria (club licensing) and other requirements specified.
"It is AIFF's endeavour to make the I-League strong and robust and for that it is imperative that clubs comply with the licensing criteria especially with regard to infrastructure and youth development," AIFF general secretary Kushal Das had stated.
