Prohibitory orders in MP town following communal clash

A clash today broke out between members of two communities following a heated argument prompting authorities to clamp prohibitory orders in Mahidpur town near here, police said.
The members of a community in the afternoon were going to the SDOP's office to hand over a memorandum over alleged inhuman treatment meted out to a history-sheeter by police when members of the other community objected to the move and an argument broke out between them.
Following heated arguments, stone-pelting took place between them.
Police intervened and used "mild force" to disperse them, the ASP said.
Section 144 (banning assembly of people) of CrPC has been clamped in the town, Additional Superintendent of Police Manish Khatri said.

Police had yesterday shaved the head of Qadir Ali, a history-sheeter, blackened his face, and after garlanding him with shoes made him sit on the bonnet of a jeep to which he was tied with a rope and took him out in a procession.
Qadir and his accomplices had allegedly thrashed inspector Shyamchandra Sharma and constable Bhagwan Singh on May 30 when they went to arrest him in connection with a case.
After a video clip showing police humiliating Qadir went viral, Ujjain ADGP Madhu Kumar suspended five policemen last night.
