There was a communication from the Goa government in 2011 proposing for creation of separate cadre of all India services -- Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Forest Service (IFoS)-- for Goa, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension, Jitendra Singh said.
Being the cadre authority for AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh- Goa-Mizoram-Union Territories) cadre, the comments of the Ministry of Home Affairs were sought. It was, thereafte, conveyed to the state government that the existing joint AGMUT cadre system addresses the concerns of the state government with reference to cadre management, he said.
