Train movement here was disrupted when agitators blocked up and down railway tracks after a motorcyclist was run over by Howrah-Lalquila Express in Bihar's Rohtas district today.
Ravikant Mehta was crushed to death by the train while he was trying to cross over to the other side, police sources said.
Agitated local residents sat on both rail tracks demanding compensation to the kins of the victim.
As a result, a number of trains like Banaras-Ranchi Inter-City Express and Delhi-Gaya Mahabodhi Express were stranded at different places, they said.
Senior railway officials rushed to the spot to pacify the protesters.
