The Goa government has asked all its departments to provide all the necessary support to the company which has been contracted the work of constructing the facility which is monitored by Prime Minister Modi.
The state government has signed concession agreement with GMR Goa International Airport Limited (GGIAL) for construction of greenfield international airport at Mopa in North Goa on public private partnership basis.
Sharma has also said that Chief Minister is monitoring the project progress on a day-to-day basis.
"Needless to say that cooperation and support from all the departments is essential for timely implementation of this prestigious project," the letter says referring to the airport project.
The chief secretary has said that the construction work of the airport has already begun and GGIAL has already started approaching various departments seeking various approvals and support required for it.
"If for any reason disposal is not possible within two weeks of receipt of such applications, the matter may be intimated to Director of Civil Aviation," Sharma has said.
In the event of any undue delay by any department, the Directorate of Civil Aviation shall mention on the matter directly to the secretary of respective department for speedy disposal, it says.
"If the matter still remains unresolved the same needs to be brought to the notice of chief secretary and Chief Minister of Goa.
