Public lock officials inside panchayat office

Public locked the Erumapalayam Sanyasigundu Panchayat office here today with officials inside protesting against giving permission to start a lead battery factory, police said.
However, police who arrived there released them.
Public said the factory, separating lead from the old batteris will be a threat to envornment and creat pollution in that area.
