However, gram and rajmah chitra eased on lack of buying support against sufficient stocks.
Traders said increased demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly attributed rise in arhar prices.
In the national capital, arhar advanced by Rs 200 to Rs 11,300, while its dara dara variety remained flat at Rs 12,000-15,000 per quintal respectively.
On the other hand, gram, gramdal local and best quality were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,300-5750, Rs 5500-5800 and Rs 5,700-6,000 per quintal respectively. Besin shaktibhog and Rajdhani quoted lower at Rs 2,390 instead of Rs 2,410 per 35 kg bag respectively.
