Today's grant is in addition to a fund of Rs 200 crore released in April this year for the purchase of wheat under the scheme, an official spokesperson said here.
Tenders have been floated in the open market for supply of foodgrains and Punjab State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited (PUNSUP) will be the nodal agency for the project, he said.
