Punjab to set up Inspection centre of vehicles at Kapurthala

Punjab Government will set up a vehicle inspection and certification centre at Kapurthala, an official spokesperson said here today.
For this purpose, three acres of land of Transport department has been allotted, he said.
On the basis of civil work drawings made by Architecture department, a complete project report has been sent to the Central government for approval, he said.
The Centre would contribute around Rs 14.40 crore for this project, he said.
In this institute, in one year around 20,000 light and 13,000 heavy vehicles would be inspected, he said.
