Pursue World Bank assessment report on J&K flood: Vohra

Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra today directed the state's Finance secretary to pursue discussions with the Union Finance Ministry on the rapid damage and needs assessment report on the floods prepared jointly by the World Bank team and state government.
Vohra emphasised on the urgent need to fast-track the process in order to help the state in its post disaster recovery plans as well as strengthen its capacity for disaster risk management, a Raj Bhawan spokesperson said.
The Finance Secretary B B Vyas briefed Vohra on the visit of the World Bank Team and the broad contours of the assessment report.
The governor also reviewed the financial position of the state, the spokesman added.
