Punjab government today ordered concerned departments to put up boards at government project sites giving details of the specifics involved.
Local Bodies minister Anil Joshi asked the departments to specify details like the name and address of contractors, government officials including SDO and JEs, on the board so as to inform the public about the project.
Details like material used, design and cost of the project also need to be mentioned, the minister said.
Joshi said the move will ensure better public participation in government work.
