Quentin Tarantino cut two versions of 'The Hateful Eight'

Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has edited two different versions of his next "The Hateful Eight".
The two-time Oscar winning director says the special 70mm version is slightly longer than the one that will be projected in multiplexes, reported Variety.
"The roadshow version has an overture and an intermission, and it will be three hours, two minutes. The multiplex version is about six minutes shorter, not counting the intermission time, which is about 12 minutes," Tarantino said.
The 52-year-old "Kill Bill" helmer wanted the 70mm version to have something extra and special, but did not want the multiplex audience to feel secondary.

"Nor did I want to treat the multiplex release like this left-handed version, either.
"It was awesome in the bigness of 70, but sitting on your couch, maybe it's not so awesome. So I cut it up a little bit. It's a little less precious about itself," he added.

"The Hateful Eight" stars Samuel L Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Bruce Dern and Demian Bichir.
The 70mm format of the film will release on Christmas and then expand in theaters on January 8, 2016.
The film marks Tarantino's eighth feature film and the follow-up to "Django Unchained", which was also released on Christmas Day in 2012.
