R'sthan to set up ceramic, glass industrial zone near Neemrana

Rajasthan Industrial and Investment Corporation (RIICO) is planning to set up a "Ceramic and Glass Industrial Zone" at Ghiloth near Neemrana.
Veenu Gupta, Managing Director of RIICO, said "RIICO has planned this zone in the Delhi NCR so that the entrepreneurs of this zone can have easy access not only to the raw material sources nearby but also to the large consumer base of North India close to their plants".
Moreover, she said "the fact that this area is close to the Inland Container Depot of CONCOR on the Dedicated Freight Corridor linking Mumbai to Delhi, provides easy and fast freight access from this area to the consumption hubs of Gujarat and Maharashtra as well as to major parts of exports. We in RIICO are offering a location that is second to none across India".

After identifying ceramic & glass sector as a thrust sector in its new Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS-2014); RIICO, with FICCI as co-organiser, is now organising an investors' meet and business to government interaction (B2G) on ceramics, glass & allied here tomorrow wherein it shall launch its ceramic & glass industrial zone, an exclusive zone being developed at Ghiloth near Neemrana, quoting her an official spokesman said today.
Rajasthan is the depository and mining hub for all basic ingredients of ceramic and glass and is the sole state that supplies all the raw material for the ceramics and glass industry across India; be it Feldspar, Fire-clay, Ball clay or Silica. Infact, Rajasthan has a position of monopoly in Wollastonite which is an essential ingredient of Vitrifled, Tiles, the spokesman said.
