Catholic businessmen, agriculturists and professionals formed in 1998 to encourage youth to take up entrepreneurship, has announced this year's Rachana awardees in various fields of activity.
In a release here, the organisation said Jeanette Pinto, Mumbai, had been selected as the Rachana woman of the year, while Stany Veigus, Perar was chosen as the Rachana agriculturist of the year.
The other awardees are Raphael Sequiera, Mumbai (Entrepreneur), Anil Kieth D'Cruz, Mumbai (Professional) and Ligoury D'Mello, Oman (NRI Entrepreneur).
Rachana Entrepreneur Development Cell had trained over 50 youth in the last 16 years. The awards had been instituted to honour successful entrepreneurs, agriculturists and professionals who had made achievements in their respective fields so that their example could be emulated by the youth, the release said.
