Kingpin of the racket, Sanjeev Kumar alias Ghungaru, a resident of Moti bazaar, and his assistant Sarvar Alam, who lives in Sarafan bazaar, were yesterday arrested when they were betting on an IPL cricket match, police said today.
Ten mobile phones, one laptop, one diary and other important material were seized from the bookies, they said.
Sanjeev was also in contact with UK-based bookies and those betting on matches, police said.
"The voices of bidders are recorded on the cellphone and Sanjeev was giving them tips," police said.
They will also be nabbed, police said.
