"Modi is not at all concerned with problems of farmers and labourers as he remains surrounded by corporate honchos and bureaucrats in suit boot and listens to these people as if only they are knowledgeable," he said at the election rallies in support of Congress candidates in Bihar's Begusarai and Sheikhpura districts.
"Has anyone among you seen photos of the Prime Minister mingling with the farmers and labourers in torn clothes?" he asked, adding that Modi has never done it as he thinks that the poor people don't have wisdom.
"During his recent US visit, Modi was seen in 16 dresses on different occasions," Gandhi said.
The Congress vice-president also attacked Modi on his promise to bring back blackmoney stashed abroad and deposit Rs 15 to Rs 20 lakh in the bank accounts of every individual.
Gandhi said that he was yet to meet a poor person who has received the promised money during 16 months of the NDA government.
He questioned Modi on his poll promise to accord special status to Bihar. He also attacked him for his promise to generate employment for youths and to take measures to tide over the woes of farmers and said none of them have been kept so far.
Gandhi defended Congress' decision to join the secular alliance with RJD and JD(U) in Bihar and said only a government under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar can sincerely undertake development in Bihar and urged voters to bring back the alliance to power.
