The low pressure area also spreads in the adjoining coastal areas of south Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh, it said, adding the associated upper air cyclonic circulation also extends up to 5.8 km above the sea level with tilting southwards.
"Heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over interior Odisha during next 24 hours," the bulletin said.
Many parts of the state including the state capital experienced sporadic rainfall in the last 24 hours.
