Most parts of Himachal Pradesh received light to heavy rainfall on Sunday bringing down the temperature by a few notches, the meteorological department said.
Heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in Sirmour, Solan and Kangra districts, Shimla MeT centre director Manmohan Singh said.
Jatton Barrage received the maximum rainfall at 132 mm between 5.30 pm on Saturday and 5.30 pm on Sunday, followed by Sangrah (85 mm), Solan (89 mm), Dharamshala (94 mm), Nahan (54 mm), Paonta Sahib (51 mm), Shimla (49 mm), Kufri (32 mm), and Kasauli (25 mm).
The maximum temperature dropped by 3-4 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature too fell by 2-3 degrees Celsius as compared to Saturday, he said.
The highest temperature was recorded in Una at 30 degrees Celsius, whereas the lowest temperature was in tribal district Lahaul-Spiti's administrative centre Keylong at 6.6 degrees Celsius, he added.
