High speed winds coupled with rain and hails hit isolated places in Dehradun and adjoining areas this evening uprooting trees and disrupting power supply.
High speed winds blowing at a around 80 KMPH hit Dehradun and it's immediate neighbourhood at about 5 PM, MeT Director Vikram Singh said.
Accompanied by showers and hails at places, the high speed winds which lasted 10 minutes uprooted trees at several places and blew away big flower pots, he said.
Power supply was also affected throughout the city for hours as trees fell on overhead electricity wires.
However, there was no report of any injuries to anyone.
