Light to moderate rain/thundershowers occurred at isolated places in eastern Uttar Pradesh, while weather was dry in western part of the state, the local MeT office said.
Maharajganj recorded 6 cm rainfall Friday while Bansi (3 cm) and Pharenda (2 cm), it said.
Temperatures were above normal during the daytime in Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Allahabad divisions while they were normal in the remaining divisions of the state.
With a maximum of 35.3 degrees Celsisus, Allahabad recorded as the hottest place in the state, the weather office said.
The weather is most likely to remain dry in the state on September 17 and September 18, it forecast.
