"Latest radar observation indicate thundershower accompanied with squall and hail with maximum wind speed reaching between 50 and 60 Km per hour likely to affect some parts of the districts of Nadia, Burdwan, East Midnapore, West Midnapore, Howrah, Hoogly, North 24 Parganas and South 24 Parganas," the weatherman said.
During the day temperature touched 35.4 degrees Celsius in Kolkata but rainfall in the afternoon brought relief.
Met office said the weather is likely to be cloudy with rains tomorrow as well.
