Notably, as many as 49 people have died due to heatwave in Telangana till April 23, state State Disaster Management had earlier said.
Rains coupled with hailstorm were reported today in some parts of Hyderabad and Medak districts, Indian Meteorological Department in-charge director Y K Reddy said.
"Temperatures may come down by at least five degrees Celsius in those areas where rains occurred," he said.
Meanwhile, the MeT department said heatwave conditions are "very likely" to prevail over many parts in all districts of Telangana during the next 48 hours.
Heatwave conditions prevailed today over many parts of Karimnagar, Khammam and Nizamabad districts in Telangana, it further said.
