Rains lash parts of HP, flash flood sweep away man

A man was swept away by flash floods triggered by a cloud burst in Chama district of Himachal Pradesh as rains lashed many other parts of the state.
The JCB driver is yet to be traced and search operations are going on officials said.
Banjar, which received 77 mm of rains since yesterday, was the wettest place in the state followed by Nahan 73 mm, Salooni 46 mm, Palampur 45 mm, Dharamshala 37 mm, Baijnath 35 mm, Bhoranj 34 mm and Kheri 27 mm, the MeT department said.
There was no appreciable change in minimum and maximum temperatures in the state. Salooni and Kalpa with a low of 13 degrees Celsius each were the coldest at night followed by Manali 15 degrees Celsius, Shimla 17 degrees Celsius, Keylong 17.4 degrees Celsius and Dharamshala 18.4 degrees Celsius.

Una recorded a high of 36 degrees Celsius followed by Kangra 31.6 degrees Celsius, Sundernagar 31.3 degrees Celsius, Nahan 30.2 degrees Celsius, Bhuntar 29.5 degrees Celsius and Solan 28.5 degrees Celsius.
The weatherman has forecast heavy rains in mid and lower hills, and heavy rains and snow in high altitude areas tomorrow and a wet spell in the region up to July 23.
