A Central Water Commission report here said Ganga continued to flow close to the red mark at Fatehgarh and Kanpur and was flowing above the danger mark at Ballia.
Sharda River at Palia Kalan, Ghaghra River at Elgin Bridge, Ayodhya and Turtipar and Budhi Rapti Rivers at Siddharthnagar were also flowing above the red mark, sources said.
Yamuna was flowing under the red mark at Prayag Ghat in Mathura as was Rapti River at Bhinga in Shravasti and Balrampur, they said.
Shravasti received 93.4 mm rains followed by Basti 90mm, Balrampur 88 mm, Bahraich 84.4 mm and Hamirpur 84 mm, MeT officials said.
