Heath Minister Rajendra Rathore said that the Cabinet cleared the proposal to increase the scheduled area which will be forwarded to the President of India for his approval.
"Three districts of Dungarpur, Banswara and Pratapgarh will be completely under the scheduled area and some areas of Chittorgarh, Rajsamand and Pali will also be included for the first time in Scheduled area in the state," Rathore told reporters after the meeting.
The minister informed that the Cabinet also approved the proposal to increase the salary of probationers in the state services. The hike will be 20 per cent and effective from September 1, 2014.
"The decision will benefit 1 lakh probationers," he said.
During the meeting, the Cabinet also gave its approval to rechristen Government College of Ajmer as 'Samrat Pritviraj Chauhan Government College-Ajmer',he added.
