Raj CM announces schemes, benefits for SC, ST, OBC

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today announced various schemes and benefits for the welfare of the people from the SC, ST and OBC categories and economically backward classes (EBC).
She announced waiver of loans of up to Rs 2 lakh along with the interest on it for SC/ST, sanitation workers and differently-abled.
The benefit will cost the state exchequer Rs 114 crore.
Interest free loan of Rs 2 lakh will be provided to hair stylists, cobblers, rickshaw pullers, plumbers among others for skill development, the chief minister said.
Raje also announced Rs 50,000 loan for 50,000 SC/ST, OBC and most backward classes families at 4 per cent interest under the Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Antyoday Swarojgar Yojna.
For the welfare of EBC, the chief minister announced the Sundar Singh Bhandari EBC Swarojgar Yojna for providing Rs 50,000 loan to 50,000 families at 4 per cent interest rate.
Free scooty to 200 girls, who secure 85 per cent in class 10 and 12 board examination, and scholarship scheme of Rs 273.50 crore for pre and post metric students was also announced under the EBC scheme.
For providing social security, Raje announced the constitution of the 'Dviyang Kosh' for the specially-abled with Rs 1 crore to welfare institutions, subsidy of Rs 1 lakh to adult orphans leaving government orphanages and joining the mainstream.
The budget proposed a maximum of two years child care leave for women employees.
Recruitment of 77,100 employees in the education department, 5,718 in the home department, 11,930 in administrative reforms department, 6,571 in the health sector before December 2018 and provision of Rs 25 crore for VRS of Spinfed Employees was also proposed.
Hike in monthly mess allowance was also proposed for welfare of 80,000 police personnel.
The allowance was increased from Rs 1,600 to Rs 2,000 for constables and head constables, and from Rs 1,750 to Rs 2,000 for assistant sub-inspectors, sub-inspectors and inspectors.
