Raj govt asks collectors to encourage 100-day MGNREGA work

Rajasthan government has directed district collectors to encourage MGNREGA beneficiaries to complete 100 days of employment under the scheme.
The direction was issued in view of a budget announcement that those families who complete 100 job days under the MGNREGA, will be given assistance of Rs 2100 to start their own work, an official said.
The budget announcement was made for the next fiscal and to ensure that it is implemented properly, the district collectors and district programme coordinators have been given directions to encourage people, a spokesperson said.
