"The SHO of the Sevar police station Akhilesh Kumar was placed under suspension yesterday for showing dereliction in duty. The vehicle was searched but he did not informed that it was in his police station," a senior police officer said.
The tractor was seized on March 8 after it hit a two wheeler. Its driver had fled after the accident.
It was the same tractor which was being frantically searched by several teams of the police after its owner Kishore Jogi had lodged an FIR and died under suspicious circumstances in Halena police station, the officer said.
